Fluted receiver with the standard two line address/patent dates on the left side of the receiver, "U.S." on top of the chamber, two line model marking on the upper tang and "K.S.M." inspector marks on the left side of the lever and atop the bolt. Smooth straight grip stock, with the military-style partial upper handguard, grasping grooves, sling swivels and bayonet lug on the barrel bands, faint boxed cartouche on the left side of the wrist and a smooth buttplate with storage compartment. With a Winchester knife bayonet, 12 3/4 inches long with an 8 1/4 inch blade, wood grips and a leather and metal scabbard with leather belt loop.
