Manufactured in 1905. The top of the barrel ahead of the rear sight is marked with the two line address/patent dates, left rear of the barrel is marked "MOD. 03 .22 CAL AUTOMATIC/-WINCHESTER-/TRADE MARK REG. IN U.S. PAT. OFF.", and the Winchester oval proof is marked on top of the barrel and receiver at the breech. Matching serial number on the bottom of the receiver and on the trigger guard plate. Dovetailed beaded blade front sight, elevation adjustable single leaf folding rear sporting sight and short range tang mounted peep sight. Mounted with a nicely figured checkered walnut forearm and pistol grip stock with a hard rubber Winchester grip cap and metal crescent buttplate.

Very fine. The rifle retains 95% plus possibly factory refurbished blue finish with some minor muzzle wear, a few small minor scratches on the receiver and a very small area of minor oxidation on the lower left side of the receiver. There is a very small area of minor spotting on the trigger guard. The reoiled wood shows some scattered minor dents, dings and scratches. The checkering remains crisp. The markings are clear. The action is excellent.
