Desirable World War I DWM 1918 Dated Imperial German Model 1914 Artillery Luger Semi-Automatic Pistol with Shoulder Stock

The top of the chamber area is dated "1918" with the DWM logo on the front toggle. The barrel extension has standard WWI "crown/letter" proofs followed by the "Imperial Eagle" firing proof. The right side of the barrel is marked "Crown/RC" indicating the barrel was originally proofed/manufactured by the Erfurt factory. This same type of proof was also used by the DWM factory on rework/reissue Luger pistols. Standard military serial number placement with the full serial number on the frame, underside of the barrel and barrel extension. The various smaller parts having the last two digits "22". The safety area and extractor are both correctly marked. Inverted "V" front with the tangent rear sight graduated from 100-800 meters. Includes a WWII blue magazine with an aluminum base, stamped "7425/n/+/Eagle/63". As noted it comes with a flat, board, stock with a blue attaching iron. The attaching iron and walnut stock are both unnumbered and unproofed. This Luger is accompanied by a appraisal letter from Charles Kenyon.

ConditionExcellent with 97% plus of the original blue finish overall with edge and high spot wear with the barrel having been arsenal refurbished. The grip straps show some areas of brown spotting/speckling with some spotting and fine erosion on the side and underside of the muzzle area. The smaller parts retain 90% of their straw colors overall with slightly more in the protected areas. The grips are in very fine condition with a nice original dark color overall mixed with nice distinct checkering mixed with some minor handling marks. The stock is in very good condition with a nice original light brown honey color with handling marks on the sides. The attaching iron retains 75% of its blued finish showing several areas of rust/pitting on the top and underside of the attaching iron.
