Dated "1948" on the slide, this pistol was produced in Turkey as an unlicensed copy of the famous Walther PP pistol. If features fixed sights, a ring hammer, smooth trigger, 60 degree safety, butt-mounted magazine release, and wraparound Pachmayr grips. The right side of the slide is inscribed "Or G./Muzaffer Tugsavul"; Muzaffer Tugsavul was a Turkish general officer who saw combat in World War I and the Turkish War of Independence, served in general officer roles in World War II, and was a member of the post-WWII Supreme Military Council. Research by the consignor and an unmarked brown leather holster are included.
