First Model World War I German Luger Drum Magazine

This is a very good example of a scarce first pattern WWI German Artillery Luger drum magazine. The drum magazines was a basic issue piece of equipment for every Artillery Luger issued during WWI and were intended to provide a high capacity (32 rounds) magazine for the Luger. This one is marked with serial number "20433" on the front and back side along with the quadruple, hexagonal logo, indicating it was made by the A.E.G. company of Berlin. It has the first pattern telescoping winding handle and the outer edge is stamped with the numbers 12, 17, 22, 27 and 32, indicating the number of cartridges that can be loaded. This example is missing the large internal winding spring and follower.

Rating definitionVery good with 70% of the arsenal refurbished blue finish overall which had dulled and is mixed with some browned patina finish with a few spots of light rust/erosion along the edges. The markings are clear and distinct. It is missing some internal parts as noted above.
