Manufactured in 1913 in the lesser encountered 38-40 WCF caliber. Square base pinned blade front sight and an adjustable fold down rear sight. It has a staple and saddle ring mounted on the left side of the receiver. Standard barrel and upper tang markings. Smooth forearm and straight grip stock with a steel carbine buttplate.

Very good. The barrel and magazine tube retain 30% thin original blue finish with some scattered minor oxidation. The receiver, bolt and buttplate have a smooth mottled brown patina. The wood is also near fine with some scattered minor dents, dings and an added swivel base hole on the belly forward of the buttplate. The markings are clear. The action is fine.
