Manufactured in 1948. Dovetail front and elevation adjustable rear sights on a barrel marked with the standard Winchester legend followed by "22 SHORT" on the left side. The Winchester factory proof is stamped on the barrel and receiver at the breech. Matching serial number on the frame and ahead of the trigger guard. Mounted on a 17 groove flat bottom forearm and smooth pistol grip stock with checkered steel buttplate.
