Manufactured in 1948 during the transition period (late 1945-51). Standard Winchester factory markings including "-SUPER GRADE-" on the floorplate and the factory oval proof on the left side of the barrel and receiver at the breech, hooded ramp and folding adjustable leaf sights, Lyman All-American 4x scope with Weaver rings, late safety, straight receiver tang, polished bolt numbered to the gun, solid bolt knob and quick release sling swivels. Mounted with a Super Grade straight comb and multi-point checkered pistol grip stock with ebony forend cap, factory hard rubber grip cap and checkered steel buttplate. Also includes an elevation adjustable rear sight.
