The firm of Wilhelm Collath was in operation in Frankfurt from 1900 to 1910. After the death of Wilhelm the company was renamed Tesco (Teschner-Collath) until the end of the 1920s. Ramped beaded blade front and fixed notch rear sights on the raised matte rib barrels with a 2 1/2 inch chamber, single extractor, full choke and "W. COLLATH. SOHNE. FRANKFURT A.O. TESCO" over the Krupp steel marking. The receiver is similarly marked and features tight basket weave checkering and decorative scroll borders. It has horn under lever and trigger guard, double triggers, tang mounted safety switch and checkered forearm and pistol grip stock with a scalloped horn grip cap, sling swivels, raised cheekpiece and solid rubber recoil pad. Leather sling included. Barrel and stock measurements: bore diameter at 9 inches from breech .615 inch; wall thickness at 9 inches from breech .077 inch; drop at comb 1 3/8 inches; drop at heel 2 1/2 inches; length of pull 13 3/4 inches.
