Established in 1977, Luciano Bosis produces fine bespoke shotguns on a by order basis with an estimated production of 25 guns annually. Each gun can take several years to complete based on the requested level of embellishment, making each piece a unique and individual creation. The finely matted rib features a single nickel bead sight, and the top barrel is marked "LUCIANO BOSIS ITALY" on the left side forward of the chamber. The breech end of the barrels feature two lustrous gold inlaid bands and light engraving on the wings. 3 inch chambers, auto ejectors, and improved modified/improved cylinder chokes. The wonderfully sculpted box lock receiver features broad, sweeping, leafy scroll engraving and darkened backgrounds using a very fine punch-dot technique. The right side of the trigger plate is clearly signed "G.S. PEDRETTI" for the firm of Master Engravers Giancarlo and Stefano Pedretti of Gardone Val Trompia, Brescia, Italy. The underside of the receiver is marked "LUCIANO BOSIS" in fine gold inlay. The break lever, trigger guard, upper tang, and even the safety switch are also embellished in fine decorative scroll. Mounted on a finely checkered, intensely figured Turkish walnut forearm with finely engraved hardware and accents and a pistol grip stock streaked with bold, dark mineral lines, finely checkered grip, blue steel grip cap, and a checkered bare butt. The barrel and stock measurements are: bore diameter at 9 inches from breech .730/.730 inch; wall thickness at 9 inches from breech .025/.025 inch; drop at comb 1 3/8 inches; drop at heel 1 3/4 inches; length of pull 14 1/2 inches; cast slightly off; toe slightly in. Includes a leather bound Luciano Bosis takedown case with a hardwood three-piece cleaning rod, cleaning rod heads, extra small parts, and two rosewood and brass Bosis snap caps.

Excellent. 98% original blue finish remains with light handling marks overall, and some small scratches on the right side of the barrels. The stock and forearm set are also excellent with intense figure, fine checkering, and some small scattered dings. Mechanically excellent. The case is very good with small dings and scuffs on the exterior. Bosis represents a wonderful melding of art form and reliable functionality from a highly respected Italian firm.
