Description:

Manufactured in 1895. Features: a globe front sight (aperture absent) and rear sight filler block on the #3 weight barrel marked with the two line address on top ahead of the rear sight and the caliber designation at the breech, a non-factory mounted long range Vernier peep sight on the top, rear of buttstock, a smooth Schnabel forearm with ebony insert, an adjustable single set trigger, and a smooth straight wrist stock with steel shotgun buttplate. The serial number and patent marking are on the lower tang.

Rating Definition:

Fine with 85% original blue on the barrel, patches of mild pitting and gray patina on both sides of barrel, and a few scratches. The receiver retains 75% of the original case colors and has some spotting along the lever. The buttplate has surface oxidation. The fine buttstock has some scrapes and dings. The forearm is reoiled. Mechanically excellent.
