Description:

Model 7 manufactured in 1867. Brass pin front and notch rear sights, with the two line Colt New York address on top of the barrel. The cylinder has the roll engraved stagecoach hold up scene, with matching numbers on the barrel, cylinder and butt. Blue finish and fitted with a period replacement grip with the likeness of Samuel Colt carved on the right side and a Root revolver on the left side.

Rating Definition:

Fine with 60% plus original blue finish remaining, showing some scattered minor flaking, thinning, edge wear and mostly a smooth brown patina on the cylinder. Half of the bright original case colors remain on the head of the hammer and in protected areas. The replacement grip is fair. It is ill-fitting and has a very pleasant grain and patina. The securing screw is absent from the butt and is chipped out around this area. The action needs work; the cylinder does not rotate when the hammer is retracted. The markings and cylinder scene are clear.
