Colt Model 1877 Thunderer Double Action Revolver with Picture Box

Manufactured in 1893. Standard barrel and frame markings, nickel finish with niter blue trigger and screw heads and fitted with checkered hard rubber grips with the Rampant Colt at the top. Comes with a period correct hinged lid picture box labeled for this configuration.

ConditionVery fine with 95% original nickel finish remaining, showing some minor pitting on the front strap and loading gate. Most of the original niter blue finish remains on the screw heads and trigger. All of the frame screws show some marring. The oversize replacement factory hard rubber grips are also very fine with a few minor nicks on the right rear and crisp checkering. The markings are crisp and clear. The action is excellent. The box is fair with broken corners, collapsing inner frame, missing label parts, wear and stains.
