Offered here is number 70 of 100 pistols Valmet manufactured from a combination of new and old parts to celebrate 50 years of the L-35. According to the consignor, these pistols were received by individuals who had factory, military or other governmental ties and only 2 to 3 pistols made it to the U.S. Features a fixed blade front and notch rear sights and checkered grips with the "VKT" logo on both sides. The frame, slide and breechblock have matching serial numbers. With a hardwood case, fitted with a hall-marked silver plaque marked "Lahti-pistooli/1935-1985" on the lid, a parts diagram inside the lid, and a French cut burgundy velvet interior with spaces of the pistol and the included extra magazine.

Excellent, with 98% plus of the original blue finish, showing some light wear and handling marks overall. The grips are also excellent. The case is good, with some wear, scuffs and stains. One of the magazines is chipped and cracked near the left side feed lip and shows signs of pitting and polishing, while the other magazine is good. Mechanically excellent.
