1942 Stahlhelm with Tri-Tone "Normandy" Pattern Camouflage and Wire Netting

Originally produced in a dark green Heer style paint finish, which is still visible on the interior, this helmet has been repainted with a tan base coat and brighter green and brown splotches, with light sand/dirt texture, as well as a net of twisted steel wire; though undocumented, this tri-tone pattern is associated with the occupiers of the Normandy region of France circa D-Day. The inside rear of the skirt is marked "KF66/3510", with "K.L." hand-marked on the webbing; "K.L." has not been identified.

ConditionVery good. The exterior shows some scuffs and scrapes into and through the camo paint, with a few small areas of spotting and some evidence of contact rubbing from the wire. The interior shows mild wear on the metal, with the webbing showing stains and cracking appropriate to age and use.
