Description:

This is a very rare WWII Russian PPS-43 submachine manufactured in 1945. These were the war-expedient version of the PPSH-41 that used almost all stamped steel parts and assemblies with a steel machined bolt, barrel and trunnion block. These were highly effective when used by the Russians in mass assaults against the Germans during Stalingrad as they had a high rate of fire (700 rpm). They used the standard 30 round stick magazine. The top of the receiver is marked: "C/1945/ (Russian Cyrillic letters) OM/531". The "C" represented the WWII Russian code for the State factory which manufactured this SMG. It has the original hard plastic grips with a "C" inset inside a diamond on each side, stamped steel folding stock and one 30 round magazine. This is a very rare example as not many of these were ever brought home as war souvenirs. With leather sling.

Rating Definition:

Very fine with 85% plus of the original blue finish overall showing edge and high spot wear with thinning mixed gray patina on the front end of the perforated barrel jacket with the same gray patina on the folding stock and buttplate. NOTE: This item is restricted as a National Firearms Act (NFA), fully transferable Class 3, which is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATFE) that is classified as a "Curios or Relic" as defined in 27 CFR, 478.11. These weapons are still subject to the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 478.
