A) Unusual Twigg Percussion Conversion Double Barrel Box Lock Pistol with Turn-Off Barrels

Description:

This pistol was originally been a tap action flintlock pistol and has had the flint components removed and replaced with percussion nipples and an interesting hammer with rotating striker at some point in the 19th century. A similar hammer and nipple arrangement was used on pistols by Rigby. The barrels are numbered "2" and "3", and the action is marked "Twigg" on the left and "London" on the right in script.

Rating Definition:

Very good with light aged patina visible on the brass and bright surfaces and mild pitting on the iron. The grip is very good and has light scratches and dings. Mechanically fine.

The only markings are the Roman numerals to indicate the pressure generated.

Rating Definition:

Very good with bright brass and steel and some minor pitting. The grip is good as refinished and has some scratches and dings throughout and repaired cracks on the right. Mechanically fine.
