Manufactured circa 1750. This attractive flintlock pistol has light floral engraving on top of the breech end of the barrel with gold inlaid highlights. The stock is adorned with a beautiful gilded brass trigger guard, left side plate and buttcap highly decorated with relief chiseled mythological scenes. The thumb plate has a relief chiseled floral design with the bust of a warrior and a crown. The lock is marked "SEBERT" below the flash pan. Brass blade front sight and mounted with a full walnut stock with a horn forend, two brass ramrod pipes and walnut ramrod with horn tip. The stock has relief carved bordering the trigger guard finial, ramrod pipe and barrel tang.

Good. The barrel has a smooth brownish gray patina. The engraving is clear, and most of the gold inlay remains. The stock is also very good with a repaired 2 1/2 inch crack on the upper right side of the forend, a chip ahead of the lock, and overall some minor dings and handling marks. All of the chiseling remains sharp. The action is fine.
