Description:

Produced circa 1962-1970, the MBAssociates Gyrojet was designed around a 13mm spin stabilized solid fuel rocket, which permits the use of light alloys and simplified mechanisms in comparison to other semi-automatic pistols. This is an early model, using a hinged loading gate on the left side to access the internal magazine, as opposed to the sliding cover seen on later models. Fixed sights, with the San Ramon address impressed on the left side below the barrel, "PAT. APPLIED FOR" on the reverse, and the model and serial number engraved on the left side, immediately ahead of the hammer. Smooth walnut grips, cut on the left side to accommodate the magazine follower. In a hardwood case with an MBA plaque on the lid, 10 display cartridges arrayed around a medallion of Robert Goddard, a pair of inert brass dummy cartridges, one live cartridge and a 13mm red flare.

Rating Definition:

Excellent, with 99% of the original black finish, showing some minor handling marks overall. Mechanically excellent.
