Description:

Features a bayonet stud on top near the muzzle, blade front sight on the rear of the upper barrel band, "F17" on the right side of the barrel bands, standard proofs, "1831" on the barrel tang, "US" over a sunburst over "N STARR" in an arch at the center of the lock, "MIDDLT/CONN/1831" followed by a floral motif/star at the tail of the lock, "LS" on the left side of the butt, and "US" on the buttplate tang.

Rating Definition:

Good as reconverted to flintlock configuration with dark brown patina, light pitting, and mild scratches and marks. The stock is fine with an overcoat of protective varnish applied and has some minor surface chips and scratches, chip at the breech above the lock, slight hairline cracks, a tension crack in the left flat at the rear lock screw, and repairs in the wrist. Mechanically fine.
