Manufactured in 1955 and subsequently engraved and gold inlaid by Master Engraver Angelo Bee. The muzzle end of the barrel has a single gold inlaid wire band and there are two gold wire bands and a 1" wedge of floral scroll engraving with punch dot background on the top breech end of the barrel. The Winchester oval proofmark on top of the barrel and receiver are gold inlaid. The receiver, forend cap and trigger guard are decorated with floral scroll designs with a punch dot background. There is gold inlaid wire bordering on the receiver and upper tang, and the serial number on the frame and trigger guard plate are gold inlaid. In addition each side of the receiver has an oval gold inlaid bordered panel with silver background of two gold inlaid relief squirrels in a wooded scene on the right side and a gold fox and pheasant in a wooded scene on the left side. The top of the receiver has a gold inlaid swooping eagle in a mountain scene. The bottom of the left side scene is signed "ABEE" followed by a small bee. There is a small "HH" directly behind the trigger guard bow. Standard barrel markings, blade front and adjustable rear sporting rear sights and mounted with a custom checkered, nicely figured walnut forearm with steel end cap, and pistol grip stock with a Winchester hard rubber grip cap.

Very fine. Beautifully and masterfully embellished by Angelo Bee showing 97% blue finish remaining with some mild flaking on the barrel and a small area of smooth gray patina on top of the receiver. The gold inlay on one of the feet of the eagle is absent, otherwise all of the gold inlay remains. The wood shows only light handling marks and sharp checkering. The markings and engraving are crisp and clear. Mechanically excellent.
