This is an excellent example of a late production 1945 dated WWII British Enfield No. 4 MK I (T) sniper rifle that is complete with the matching scope mount, correct matching No. 32 MK3 scope, matching bolt, metal scope can and the wooden storage case. The left side of the buttsocket is marked "M47C/1945/U33165/TR". The rifle is fitted with the correct and matching No 32 MK3 scope that is marked on top of the tube "TEL.STG.No 32 MK3/O.S. 2039 A/C&T No. 21572" with a light blue "B" mark. The scope rings are numbered "116" and "117", respectively. The mounting bracket is stamped on the side with "U33165". The rifle is complete with a No 8 MK I metal scope can with its leather sling. The rifle has the standard blade front sight and MK I rear sight. It is fitted with its correct and matching semi-pistol grip walnut stock, forestock and handguards. The forestock is correctly matching to the rifle, and the buttstock is correctly stamped "S51" directly behind the pistol grip area. The matching scope number "21572" is stamped into the top of the stock. The comb has been fitted with an original wooden cheekpiece held on with two wooden screws. The buttstock is fitted an aluminum buttplate with the trap compartment. The rifle comes with its original No. 15 MK I green wooden storage case that has a non-matching paper end label. Although this has rifle has a mismatched forestock, it is correctly complete with its matching scope and scope mount, which are both correctly recorded on the No.8 MK2 scope bag.

Rating Definition:

Excellent with 98% plus of the late rough, black painted finish with clear sharp markings with a hint of edge wear. The wood components are all excellent with only very minor handling marks on the sides in a couple areas with some light scratches on the sides of the buttstock. The scope and mount, also have 98% of their original blued finish on the scope and the dark rough cast finish on the mount. The optics are clear and sharp. The accompanying metal scope can also very fine with 97% of its green paint showing some minor flaking/chipping on the corners. The leather strap is good plus, complete but dry showing age cracking and light flaking of the leather overall. The green storage case is very fine with 95% of its exterior green painted finish and one leather strap broken off. A very nice high condition, late World War II British sniper rifle with exceptional accessories!
