Produced in the 1920s and 30s as a close range varmint gun with bead front and frame notch rear sights. Typically seen in 410 gauge, this example is configured for 28 gauge shells. Single bead sight, "MADE IN U.S.A. 28 GA.CHOKE" on top of the barrel, the two-line address on the right side of the frame, "H.&R. "HANDY-GUN" on the left, smooth forearm, and checkered pistol grip stock with a web spur. Includes a box of Remington Express 28 gauge shotshells.
Very fine, with 85% plus of the original blue finish, showing some mild wear and spotting. About 80% of the original case colors are present on the frame, and the grips show some light dings and dents. Mechanically excellent. NOTE: This weapon is registered as a National Firearms Act (NFA), AOW (Any Other Weapon). Although NOT a fully automatic weapon it is still controlled like a NFA weapon that is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATFE) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 478.
