Description:

An offshoot of the M939 heavy cargo truck. Designed in the late 1970s to replace the aging M39 and M809 series of cargo trucks, the M939 and its variations have been in continuous U.S. military service ever since. This fully titled, street legal, 6x6 cargo truck does not require a CDL for use and is powered by a Caterpillar Cummins NHC 250, naturally aspirated V6 diesel engine built for a full five ton cargo capacity cross-country, and an impressive 10 ton capacity on pavement. The truck features an overall black, brown and green jungle camouflage paint scheme, power steering, ABS brakes, 5-speed Allison automatic transmission with two speed transfer case, full size cargo bed with drop sides for easy loading with a forklift, fold down troop seating, and full rubberized canvas canopy. The cab interior is everything one should expect from a heavy working military vehicle, designed entirely for function. The identification plate on the passenger side of the dash reads "Vehicle Serial No. C52306150/Repaired In Accordance with 5-Ton SOW Standards/Red River Army Depot-Tacom/08/09". The passenger side of the front bumper is marked "319th FSC". The consignor states the 11 tires are new and that the vehicle starts and runs. Includes original title, thumb drive containing operating and maintenance manuals from Operator to Depot level, assorted small tools in the side compartments, and a large quantity of extra canopy ribs stored in the bed.

Rating Definition:

Very good. The paint has the expected chips and dings and some areas of visible surface rust with painted over markings visible on the bumpers and other components. The canopy is also very good with visible wear and fading on top, good solid tie downs, and no visible holes or tears. A great addition to any advanced military or car collection. To be sold "as-is"; we strongly suggest one send a competent mechanic to inspect.
