Manufactured in 1935, shortly before Nazi Germany abandoned the "code letter" system of weapons dating, as one of approximately 4,100 Lugers produced by Krieghoff for the Luftwaffe. Fixed sights, "S" on the chamber and the "C-1" pattern die stamped "H(anchor)K/KRIEGHOFF/SUHL" marking on the front toggle link. A series of "eagle/L/2", "droop wing eagle" and "eagle/2" proofs are present on a number of components, with (minus the barrel and magazine) matching "military" pattern serial numbers overall. The barrel, barrel extension, right side rail, breechblock and a number of internal parts, and "droop wing eagle" proofs are on the barrel, extension and breechblock. Fitted with straw finished small parts, a pair of "Ritzmann fine checkered" grips, and a nickel finished alloy base magazine marked "eagle/2" and "2761".

Fine, showing 70% of the blue, with areas of gray and brown patina, edge wear, and scattered spotting and handling marks. Cold blue touch up is visible on the grip straps, muzzle, and side plate bump. A "K" has been scratched into the underside of the trigger guard, origin and purpose unknown. The straw components retain about 30% of their original color, with traces of niter blue in the protected areas and on the right side of the magazine catch. The grips are good, with some scuffs and dents. The feed lips of the magazine are bent, otherwise mechanically fine.
