Description:

Manufactured in 1943 before the introduction of the G43 rifle. The G41 was one of the only production model semi-automatic rifles to use the "gas trap" system, as opposed to the gas port used on the G43 which has become the de-facto standard for gas-operated weaponry from World War II up through the modern day. Hooded blade front and tangent rear sights, with the model and manufacturer markings on the left side of the receiver, machined bolt carrier, hollow cocking knob, and a right side mounted bolt catch. Fitted with a smooth pistol grip stock, and a contrasting resin handguard, matching number on the underside, brown leather sling and a cupped steel buttplate.

Rating Definition:

Very good as assembled. 70% original blue finish remains with a mostly brown patina on the gas trap assembly and barrel bands, handling marks throughout, crisp inspection marks, and scattered small nicks and dings. The stock is fine with small chips and dings throughout, and visible inspection and acceptance stamps. The replacement bolt assembly (K-43 handle) is not numbered to the gun, otherwise the rifle is mechanically excellent.
