The accompanying factory letter confirms the barrel length, rare Humpback hammer, finish and checkered walnut Magna grips. It was shipped on September 8, 1939, and delivered to William A. Shroyer's & Sons Co. of Dayton, Ohio. This was a single unit shipment that was originally billed at $28.27. The revolver has standard S&W factory markings, pinned blade front and square notch adjustable rear sights, matching serial numbers on the butt, ejector shroud, cylinder and right grip panel; and matching assembly number "41495" on the yoke and crane.
