Description:

The included factory letter confirms the fixed sights, finish and checkered walnut grips. It was shipped on February 28, 1931 to Von Lengerke & Antoine of Chicago, IL. Matching serial numbers are found on the butt, right grip panel, ejector shroud and cylinder. An importer mark is stamped on the butt.

Rating Definition:

Excellent. The revolver retains 97% original blue finish with slight loss limited to muzzle wear and some thinning to a brown on the back strap. There is a cylinder drag line, a scuff mark on the ejector housing and a gash on the barrel near the breech. Nearly all of the original case colors remain on the hammer and trigger. The grips are also excellent with a couple minor gouges and crisp checkering overall. Mechanically excellent. Provenance: Frank Staig.
