Confirmed by the included Colt factory letter, this revolver was a sample and display handgun of special edition issue kept by the Colt factory. The letter also confirms the Florida Fish & Game Edition markings and features (barrel, caliber, finish, etched motifs) on this revolver with the exception of checkered grips (present grips are smooth). Complete with Colt "wood grain" box with Custom Shop end label numbered to gun and the notation "Archive". The included packing list also confirms revolver was placed in archives. Near new. The revolver retains 99% plus of the original nickel finish taking on a frost appearance. Grips are also excellent with some adhesive residue around a medallion. Box is fine with taped label.
