Confirmed by the included Colt factory letter this revolver was kept by the Colt factory as a sample and display piece of this model revolver. The letter also confirms the caliber, 4" barrel with model and caliber marking on the left side, finish, and checkered finger groove rubber wraparound stocks with Colt medallions. Blade front sight with orange insert, adjustable rear sight , and top strap tapped for scope mounting (2 holes). Complete with a Colt blue plastic carrying case numbered to gun. Excellent, with a few mild handling marks and a minor cylinder drag line. The grips are also excellent with a few minor handling marks. The checkering is crisp.
