Confirmed by the included Colt factory letter this pistol was kept by the Colt factory as a display piece and sample of this special edition issue. The letter also confirms the caliber, barrel length, finish, smooth varnished walnut stocks with gold Rampant Colt medallions, and gold etched Los Angeles Police Department motifs on the slide. Excellent plus. The pistol retains over 99% original blue finish with a few light handling marks. Some minor wear is present on the chamber. The grips are near new with only the slightest handling marks.
