Very Fine U.S. Army Springfield Model 1871 Rolling Block Rifle

This is one of only 10,001 Rolling Block Rifles manufactured between 1871 and 1872 by Springfield Armory under a royalty agreement with Remington Arms Company. It has the standard markings and features and is dated "1872" on the right.

ConditionVery fine with 75% plus original case colors and mostly bright remaining surfaces with minor patination, slight pitting/oxidation, and scattered marks. The wood is very good with some small chips at the edges of the wrist, a distinct "ESA" cartouche, and a mild scratches and dents. Mechanically excellent.
