These two Colt Official Police revolvers were manufactured in 1911 and 1944, respectively, and were subsequently embellished by Master Engraver Cole Agee. The accompanying Agee family documents state that these revolvers were bought by avid gun collector Chief Lynn "Tim" Kennedy and sent to Cole Agee for engraving. As indicated in the several included letters written by Agee, Chief Kennedy developed a friendship with Agee that began as early as 1948. Although the serial numbers are not mentioned, the engraving on these revolvers are clearly the work of Cole Agee and one handwritten letter from Agee references "a pretty pair" of revolvers he engraved for Kennedy. The revolvers feature near full coverage engraved floral scrollwork on a punch dot background.
