Description:

Manufactured in 1933, the first year of production, and featuring the desirable and rare 20 inch barrel that was available for the first four years of production. It has dovetailed blade and elevation adjustable sights, standard Winchester markings including the factory oval proof on top of the barrel and receiver at the breech and a smooth pistol grip stock with a smooth steel buttplate. The three-digit serial number is stamped on the frame and trigger guard.

Rating Definition:

Very fine. The barrel, forend cap, receiver and trigger guard retain nearly 97% original blue finish showing some minor thinning on the high points. There is a small ding surrounded in gray on the left side of the receiver and some cold blue touch up on top of the receiver. The buttplate is a mixture of cold blue and smooth brown patina. The wood is fine showing some minor pressure dents and scratches. Mechanically excellent. Even with the minor defects, a highly desirable three-digit serial number Model 63 Winchester!
