Description:

Manufactured in 1905. The accompanying factory letter lists this revolver with a 4 3/4 inch barrel in .45 caliber and blue finish when it was shipped to Krakauer, Zork & Moye Co. of El Paso, Texas, on January 5, 1906, as part of a 6 gun shipment. The barrel has the two-line address on top and "45 COLT" on the left side, and the left side of the frame has the two-line patent dates marking with a circled Rampant Colt. Matching serial numbers are on the frame, both grip panels and both grip straps.

Rating Definition:

Fine. The barrel and grip straps retain 70% original blue finish and the replacement cylinder retains 80% of the blue finish with the overall balance a smooth gray patina. The hammer and frame retain 40% original case colors. The cylinder is a later production replacement with 80% of the blue. The grips are very good with a repaired chip (right panel), a scuff on the bottom and some wear in the checkering. Mechanically excellent.
