Description:

Manufactured in 1876. The barrel has the one-line Hartford address, the left side of the frame has the two-line, two patent dates marking, and the left side of the trigger guard is marked "45 CAL." The ejector rod has the donut head. Matching numbers are found on the barrel, trigger guard, back strap, cylinder and barrel. The accompanying factory letter lists this revolver with a .45 caliber barrel and blue finish and barrel length and type of stocks not listed when it was shipped on August 31, 1876, as part of a 50 gun shipment delivered to H.&D. Folsom Arms Co., New York City.

Rating Definition:

Fine as period retailer plated. The revolver retains 85% frosted nickel plating with the balance a smooth gray patina. The grip is very fine with some minor scratches and dings. Mechanically excellent.
