Produced by Hollywood Saddlery, of Los Angeles, California. This manufacturer was known for their fine craftsmanship and great artists, many from the famous Ed Bohlin leather studio. This particular belt and holster are a dark brown, with extensive floral and leaf tooling and punch dot backgrounds. The belt has loops for thirty rounds of .45 caliber ammunition. The holster itself has a single strap and buckle and a hammer loop. All buckles and fittings are sterling silver and intricately engraved with the complex geometric and floral designs common in American Western art and silver work. The buckles are also engraved with a monogrammed "G" in the center. The holster has a stylized eagle carved on the back, with the initials "F.D.G." this mark is above a flower carved in a similar manner. Cartridge loops are filled with silver colored .45 caliber dummy rounds. An all around fine example of 1930s Southern California leather work.

Fine overall, the tooled embellishment is masterfully executed. The belt and holster do display some light age cracking overall, with some edge scuffing and color loss. The leather is still quite supple and flexible. Fittings are very good, with strong engravings and some darker patina, common on sterling silver items.
