In business since 1865, the firm of Lebeau-Courally boasts of having made more guns for royalty than any other gun company in the world. Manufacturing fine bespoke guns of best quality, the firm only manufactures about 50 guns annually, to order. Single bead sight on the raised matte rib with 70mm (2 3/4 inch) chambers, ejectors, and bored approximately modified and full choke. The barrels are marked "AUG/ LEBEAU-COURALLY" on the right and "FCANT LIEGE" on the left. The barrel flats and water table have standard Belgian proofmarks along with the Lebeau-Courally maker's marks. The receiver and lock plates feature exceptionally fine best quality bouquet and scroll engraving with the Lebeau maker's marks on the sides of the lock. Manual safety, treble grip side clipped action, articulated front trigger and Liege nitor proofmark. Checkered splinter forearm with engraved fittings, straight grip buttstock with a silver initial oval inscribed "RBS" on the belly of the stock, and a checkered horn buttplate. The barrel and stock measurements are: right and barrels proved at 18.4mm, measuring 18.4, minimum wall thickness .028; drop at comb 1 3/8 inches; drop at heel 1 3/4 inches; length of pull 14 1/2 inches; 1/2 inch cast off; 1/8 inch toe in. Weight: 7 lbs 1.8 oz. With a Gastinne Renette leather takedown case stamped "RBS" on top of the lid.

Very fine. 99% refinished blue remains on the barrels with sharp markings, and just a few light handling marks. The receiver is a mostly uniform silver/gray with crisp engraving and traces of the original case colors on the flat of the action. The mounts have been reblued. The wood is very fine with some small expertly repaired cracks at the right tip of the forearm, sharp checkering. Fine attractive figure, and a few small dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
