This highly attractive, consecutively numbered, nearly identical pair of engraved Arrieta shotguns feature single bead sights on a smooth concave rib with light engraving around the breech, dual chopper lump barrels, side clips, automatic ejectors, and the "Fca. de Escopetas Arrieta - Elgoibar Espana" maker's mark on the right barrel. The barrel flats and water table are stamped with standard Spanish commercial proofs. The receivers and lock plates are fully engraved in fine Holland & Holland style Arabesque scroll with fine punch dot backgrounds, cross hatched shading, and "ARRIETA y CIA" marked on each lock plate. The actions feature dual triggers with articulated front triggers, hand detachable locks, and tang mounted automatic safeties. Fitted with multi-point checkered splinter forearm with engraved fittings, Anson style push button latches, and straight grip stock with inset initial ovals inscribed "BME", and Pachmayr White Line recoil pad. Excellent overall. 99% original finish remains with some light handling marks, and small forearm marks on the barrels. The engraving is sharp and highly detailed. The wood has sharp checkering, and just a few small dings and light surface scratches on the buttstock. Mechanically excellent. The case is excellent with some small scuffs on the exterior.
