Manufactured by W.W. Greener of Birmingham (England), the Greener Light Harpoon Gun operates on a Martini action, using 38 caliber blanks to launch harpoons, mechanically similar to rifle grenade "spigot" launchers. In operation, the harpoon slots over the final 11 inches of the barrel, optionally connecting to a line wound around a quick-detach frame on the front of the forearm. Birmingham proofs are present on multiple components, with the loading data (14.5 grains of Cordite, 16 ounce harpoon) on the chamber, the Greener address and model markings on the frame. Straight wrist stock with a Pachmayr White Line recoil pad. A broad assortment of accessories are included, with eleven harpoons, three boxes of 38 caliber blanks, six lines, two line frames, manuals, an assortment of cleaning tools and the original buttplate. For storage the lot comes with a green canvas bag large enough to accommodate several harpoons, and a green painted hardwood takedown case decorated with pictures of the character Quint from the classic film Jaws, handing and using a near identical Greener Harpoon Gun. Boat and shark not included.

Very fine as factory converted for harpoon launching, with 95% plus hard chrome finish, showing some blackening around the muzzle, mild handling marks and a few small areas of spotting. The stock is fine, with scattered light dings. Mechanically excellent.
