Manufactured in 2010 by a trio of American Custom Gunmakers Guild members for the #26 raffle. This beautiful classically styled double rifle is featured on the cover of the included Summer 2010 issue 131 of "Gunmaker: Journal of Custom Gunmaking". it is further pictured and described on pages 12-15 of this publication, detailing its manufacturer and listing the men who built it. The metal work was performed by Terry Fleming using a B. Searcy & Co. action; the stock was made by Glenn Morovitz using fine Turkish walnut; and the engraving was performed by Larry Peters. With a ramped beaded blade with flip-up "poacher's bead" front and four-leaf (one standing, three folding) express notch rear sights graduated from 50 to 200 meters with platinum sight lines on a raised quarter rib. The rib is marked "B. SEARCY & Co. BORON, CA., U.S.A.". The receiver is fully engraved in a classic English scroll pattern that would have been common on an early 20th century double. The upper tang is inscribed (under the break lever) with the names of the men who built and finished this rifle, as well as listing their role in its creation. With dual triggers and tang mounted safety. With a checkered splinter forearm with engraved fitting and Anson style push button latch, and pistol grip buttstock with tear drop carved flats, engraved casehardened grip cap, raised shadow-line cheek piece, gold initial oval, and leather wrapped recoil pad. The stock measurements and weight are: 3 /4 inch drop at comb; 1 inch drop at heel, 14 3/4 inch length of pull; 10 pounds 7.6 ounces. The rifle includes a leather bound takedown case with polished brass fittings, two snap caps, nickel oil bottle, and cleaning tools. Also included is a locking aluminum case with cloth cover and the May/June 2011 Issue of "Petersen's Rifle Shooter" where the gun is pictured on pages 8 and 9 with an advertisement for the #26 raffle.

Rating Definition:

Excellent plus. 99% original finish remains with only light handling marks, vibrant case colors, and sharp checkering on the fancy figured wood. Mechanically excellent. The leather case is excellent with some light marks on the exterior. The metal case is also excellent.
