Each Smith & Wesson Registered Magnum was built to the specifications of the buyer, then registered by number to the owner by Douglas Wesson himself, the then Vice President of Smith & Wesson. This particular example, number 3032, is one of 839 Registered Magnums manufactured with a 6 inch barrel and was shipped in October 1937. It also has standard S&W markings with "REG. 3032" on the yoke, importer making on the butt, un-numbered Magna grips, matching assembly numbers on the yoke and crane and matching serial numbers on the butt, cylinder and ejector shroud.
