Manufactured 1947. It has standard S&W markings including the early one-line frame address, importer marking on butt, large ejector rob knob, matching assembly numbers on the yoke and crane and matching serial numbers on the butt, right grip panel, cylinder and barrel. The factory K-22 Masterpiece gold box is un-numbered and has the correct barrel length and finish on the short ends. Comes with a bore rod with brush. Provenance: Frank Staig collection.

Excellent. The revolver retains 99% original blue finish showing thinning on the ejector rod and a very light cylinder drag line. 99% plus original case colors remain on the hammer and trigger. The grips are also excellent with a few minor handling marks and crisp checkering overall. Mechanically excellent. The box is fine showing some minor wear.
