Manufactured in 1952. It has standard S&W markings, adjustable rear sight, matching serial numbers on the butt, cylinder, barrel and right grip panel and matching assembly numbers on the yoke and crane. The factory K-38 gold box has the revolver's serial number hand marked on a white end label.

Excellent. The revolver retains 98% original blue finish showing some minor high edge wear and a cylinder drag line. Nearly all of the original case colors remain. There are a couple tiny spots of pitting on the cylinder. The grips are very fine showing some minor handling marks and a few blemishes in the overall crisp checkering. Mechanically overall. The box is fine showing some minor edge wear.
