Description:

Manufactured in the third post-war Springfield serial number block with a "10-54" dated Springfield barrel. Standard blade front and adjustable peep rear sights with a Springfield marked operating rod, trigger group, safety, and hammer. Standard GI oil finished stock with the DOD "eagle" stamp on the left side, single circled "P" stamp on the underside of the wrist, and checkered trapdoor buttplate. The included CMP bill of sale identifies the rifle by serial number and lists it as a "Service Grade". With green canvas web sling and CMP certificate of authenticity. Provenance: Bruce Canfield collection.

Rating Definition:

Very fine. 90% original post-war parkerized finish remains with areas of high point and edge wear, surface scratches, and handling marks overall. The reoiled stock is fine with small dings scattered throughout, clear markings, and refinished buttplate. Mechanically excellent.
