Fine Colt Model 1935 Machine Gun Field Tripod

Built after WWI, this field tripod was designed for use with commercial/foreign contract variants of the Browning Model 1917 machine gun, and is most commonly associated with an order placed by the government of Argentina. This field mount is constructed with a brass main body and steel framework, legs and elevation gear, which is all finished in green paint. A brass plaque on the rear leg identifies it as a Colt product, numbered "430". Traverse lockouts absent.

ConditionFine, showing over 60% of the original green finish, with areas of aged brown steel and brass visible through the paint, along with some light scuffs and dings. The traverse and elevation hardware is all in good order, as are the locking clamps for the front legs.
