Description:

The "WG" Army Model was widely purchased from Army & Navy Cooperative Society stores and other retailers by British officers. This model was reportedly made in the early to mid 1890's. It has "ARMY & NAVY C.S.L" on the rib, a nickel-silver blade front sight, "455/476" on the left side of the barrel lug, "'WG' ARMY MODEL" on the left of the top strap, "WEBLEY/PATENTS" and the winged bullet over "W&S" on the left side of the frame, cylinder numbered to the gun and lanyard ring on the butt. The partitioned oak case contains a Manton & Co. label on the interior of the lid, cartridge block and glass oiler.

Rating Definition:

Fine. The revolver retains 60% plus original blue finish with the balance a smooth brown-gray patina. The grips are excellent with some minor handling marks and crisp checkering overall. Mechanically excellent. The case is very good with a missing initial plate, wear in the lining, a couple missing surface chips and retaining most of the oil stained retailer label.
