Description:

These were standard issue during the First World War for the Imperial German Navy. They have the distinctive 6 inch barrel and 2-position adjustable rear sight. The front sight base, frame and chamber are dated "1917" and it has the standard "DWM" monogram on the front toggle link. Standard WWI "crown" firing proofs on the breechblock and extension, and the "crown/M" Navy proof twice on the extension and once on the barrel. External numbers (minus the magazine) are matching, with straw finished small parts and checkered walnut grips. Comes with a nickel plated magazine with a wooden base that has the concentric rings on the sides with "crown/M/132" stamped on the base.

Rating Definition:

Very fine with 85% plus of the original blue finish overall with even honest wear with blue loss on the rear grip strap, muzzle area, side plate and front frame rails, with some small spots of pitting along the rear grip strap. The smaller parts retain 60% of their straw colors overall with more on the trigger. The grips are very fine with distinct checkering showing only minor handling marks in some areas. Mechanically excellent.
