Operating out of his home workshop in California, John Martz is best known for his alterations and upgrades of Luger and P-38 pistols, all of which were performed by him and often took several months of work. Manufactured using a combination of new-made components and vintage Luger parts, this pistol follows the overall pattern of a Second Model Navy Luger and integrates the Martz Safe Toggle Release upgrade. Blade front and 2-position notch rear sight with "100" and "200" graduations. With a small "crown" proof on the left side of the breechblock, "DWM" on the front toggle link, and "MSTR" and "JVM" on the left side of the frame. Fitted with a pair of fancy "JVM" marked checkered walnut grips and a nickel finished magazine with a concentric circle decorated "JVM" marked walnut base.
