Confirmed by the included Colt factory letter, this revolver was kept by the Colt factory as a sample and display piece. The letter also confirms the caliber, 8" vent rib barrel with standard markings, nickel finish with blued sights, rubber wraparound fingergroove stocks with gold Rampant Colt medallions, and Rampant Colt with "V" motif on side plate. Has a blade front sight with red insert and an adjustable rear sight. Complete with maroon Colt Heritage of Craftsmanship box with Custom Shop end label numbered to the gun.

Excellent. The revolver retains 99% original nickel finish with some minor scratches and a light cylinder drag line. There is minor pitting on the cylinder latch. The grips are near new with only the slightest handling marks. Box is fine with a minor tear.
